This photograph comes from a collection of postcard-style prints, collected by W.Beckerlegge and acquired by my father. There are two main sources of these commercial photos, produced around the 1923 grouping, W.H.Whitworth (WHW) and the Locomotive Publishing Company (LPC). The photographers have not been credited on the prints, so cannot be recorded here.

I have added this one to Vintage Photos Theme Park, as I realized that I had not checked the 'visits' in this album of photos of the London & North Eastern Railway and its constituent companies, from my Dad's collection. This one has over 1000 visits and is still being visited. I haven't been through the whole lot yet, but this one stands out - so far!
P.S. In in looking to check whether it was the same loco that I photographed in a small railway museum, I realized that my photo had exceeded this one's visits and had two 'likes', but it isn't a vintage photo. Someone must be very fond of this class of engine!
