until 2015 ...

- from eNatureblog.com "Posted on Thursday, August 30, 2012 by eNature Be sure to look up and take in the “Blue Moon” on Friday night. While the moon actually won’t be colored blue, it is an unusual sight—but more for reasons of timing than appearance. Blue moons occur when there’s a second full moon in the same calendar month. While they’re quite predictable, we only see them every year or three. After Friday’s, we won’t see another until July 2015. It’s All In The Timing Blue moons arise because a lunar month, the time it takes for the moon to orbit the Earth, is a bit shorter than most of our terrestrial calendar months—29 days 12 hours 44 minutes and 3 seconds to be exact. So most years have twelve full moons that occur approximately once per month. But those extra days accumulate, so every two or three years, there is a 13th full moon." cropped only in: www.picmonkey.com © All Rights Reserved

music . .

- from my corner of the rhythms - do I drum - do I take photos - decisions - decisions - did manage both - even had my small frame drum out [ with ribbons - purple, of course! ] - need to practice with this one - guess it is probably 1st cousin to a tambourine - but, you can do more things with it - you could even call it a Riqq - but, DON'T tell someone, "oh what a nice tambourine you have!" - ouch - even drummers have souls - though we bleed rhythms signed / straightened in: www.picmonkey.com 2012 May 27 - Gandy Rumba Drum Circle © All Rights Reserved

Spring Salad ..

- for supper - cooked penne pasta / used brown rice G.F. [ G luten F ree ] - drain pasta; plunge in cold water to stop cooking; drain again - tear fresh Spinach / or greens of choice in dish - add healthy size scoop of potato salad - place cooked pasta over this - add veggies of choice - used broccoli, zucchini and slivered onions - slice a hard cooked egg - put across the salad - add color and crunch with shredded carrots - top with Feta cheese - made a lemon/olive oil dressing with herbs - this would have been perfect with some flatbread ! - happy eating ~ .. please note: this is just a guide.. to me, that is what a recipe is. .. a guide.. build it/delete parts/add to .. it is all your choice in this ... there is nothing crucial (like bread not rising) in this salad.. make this your own Spring Salad .. that is what I did .. this is not the original, yet it is my original .. - signed in: www.picMonkey.com © All rights reserved

Spirit of the drum on canvas of dark blue ..

- this shot taken in March 2012 ^^ Rainbow Building Group ^^ dark blue sky - gotten more questions - from the drummers at Gandy - than any I've taken - in the center of the photo - look in front of the tree - that has been called 'the Spirit' of Rhythm or the Spirit of the Drum Circle view largest size possible - it is a certain setting on the Canon PowerShot SX40 HS that caused the ghost-like figure - I looked at the shot just before it and it was just an ordinary shot - then, my subject moved - look carefully and you can see what I mean - this is SOOC with exception of signing in www.picmonkey.com © All Rights Reserved

Luck ..

and much more .. it was a beautiful day to go cloud-looking .. which I did .. then, got to the task of getting groceries .. this is what I saw after loading the car with the purchases .. and exiting the parking lot .. this street was closed off .. part of the intersecting street was, also .. it took some figuring out just which way .. to get around this and get home .. see the vehicle, bottom right .. followed him .. of course, when he stopped .. I stopped .. below is all I've found out about the crash .. - from Tampa Tribune via Yahoo "Crash shuts down street in Lakeland By TBO.com Published: March 16, 2012 Updated: March 16, 2012 - 6:31 PM A three-vehicle crash closed South Florida Avenue in Lakeland for a time this afternoon, Lakeland police said According to a report, a white Ford F250 was northbound on Florida near Imperial when for unknown reasons it crossed the center median, hitting a southbound gray Volkswagen Jetta in the left side. The Jetta was pushed backward, and it was struck by a southbound gray Toyota Camry in the right side. The truck landed on top of the Jetta, and its driver had to be extracted by the Lakeland Fire Department. The driver was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. The other drivers involved were checked by emergency medical personnel as a precaution. The crash is under investigation, and police said the drivers' names will be released when the crash report is completed.
