Fun to build - but it can be hard work for a tall one, especially if you are keeping to the correct local style and material.

I agree, it is [very] hard work !

I can wall in slate waste in the North Wales brick style (I never tried doing the slabs version) and in the style local to my part of SW Northumberland. [similar to Pennines, apparently].

About 20 years ago, I rebuilt about 30 yards on my boundary, next to the road. I had some training and help for the first few yards, but I did the rest myself. The final few yards I only had access from one side due to a deep ditch, so that was fun.
