Ladybird Pupa Collage

Ladybird Pupa Collage
I have known Ladybirds all my life... but never seen a pupa till today !

The Ladybirds over Wintered in large quantities here in the "Little House" (sort of potting shed) and I suppose now.. this is their next generation !

I look around.. and they are everywhere.. a GOOD bug ! They have 4 instars to get to the finished product !

Nice one, Pam. Ladybugs are so valued for natural pest control that you can buy them by the thousands from Amazon! For your greenhouse, garden, or whatever.

For a while, they were breeding in my home. I love them in the garden, but have 40-50 inside my house was a bit much.

Esther.............

I literally had hundreds and hundreds in my garden shed.. and the garage... and the space between the bug screens and the windows !

But... least they are the good guys. I have Copperhead snakes and Black Widow spiders and scorpions.... I know which i like best !!

I've never seen them before but now I know what to look for. They look just as sweet as they do when grown.

Jean... the funny thing was.... there was a Ladybird patrolling these... like she was guarding her babies ? !

I used to love these bugs until they invaded my house. I would have to sweep them up daily. Still, they eat the bad bugs.
