Rare to see these here.

Its noticeable that the few butterflies that are here so far.... are mostly at edge of range and up from the South. It isnt one type.. but 4 different ones in two days and one last week.

You captured this little one very well, especially the little splashes of yellow on the wings.

Very interesting to read that gophers got your hollyhocks. I have not heard of that around here, and Minnesota is nicknamed "The Gopher State." Perhaps they have enough other things to eat in these parts.

This is Oklahoma.. they eat anything........ sigh.

I was so mad having struggled to grow them for 3 years. Something that gre so easily in England........ sighhhh
