Reflection / Stadthaus im Spiegel (270°)

The "Stadthaus" was the headquarter of the "Gestapo" in Hamburg and the building is infamous for torturing and murdering people under arrest here. Now converted to a big Shopping Mall (who needs another one?) with only a minor memorial place for those, who have suffered here. Profit first!

Da schrieb ja auch Ralf Giordano in seiner Biografie darüber, dass er dort für Stunden festgehalten worden war. Er kam unversehrt wieder 'raus, stürzte nicht "aus Versehen" im Treppenhaus, wie es Anderen passiert ist!

Die Fassade des Stadthauses ist weitgehend erhalten worden, aber wahrscheinlich sind die Gedenktafel (zum Gestapo-Hauptquartier) und die Stolpersteine am früheren Eingang nicht mehr zu sehen. Die habe ich mal bei PANO gezeigt, ist ja nun auch alles verschwunden -es "lebe der Kommerz" :-(

Die Spiegelung ist aber sehr gut gestaltet, war vor Kurzem auch dort und konnte sehen, dass die Bauarbeiten bald abgeschlossen sein werden!
