Thanks Rosa...........I think it would have kept it up for hours, but the tide was on it's way in and that small piece of beach would have been under 4 or 5 feet of water. His owner pretty much had to drag him away.

The Royal Oak pub.........right on the edge of the water, has benches outside on the footpath and we nearly always stop there for a drink after walking to the millpond and feeding the birds, especially when it's nice and sunny.

In Portsmouth today meeting up with a friend for lunch and a walk round the park. Even managed to get a train there and back between the strike days!

My brother has two springer spaniels and they are just the same ;-)

Definitely a Springer Keith; my brother had two, and this breed really enjoy a swim, his two in the canal!

Thanks for the confirmation Maggie...............and glad you like the shot. I was sitting on a bench outside the pub looking down from the sea wall..........and using a long lens, so well out of the way! His owner however, was soaked from the waist down :-)))
