Beautifully captured Keith! The only time I have seen so many egrets, as in your PiP, was along the Helford River in Devon. I like Wedge as well!! Superb shots.

I think these may be the same egrets that roost at the millpond in Langstone Harbour. These were across the other side of the harbour and I think they must spend their days there.

I can remember when I was about 12 and my father took me to Langstone Harbour to see a Little Egret for the first time........it was a rare visitor then and there were literally hundreds of "twitchers" around over a period of a couple of weeks who had come to see it. Nowadays they're pretty common sight :-)

The egret is perfectly placed in the frame, Keith. I have to say they look more elegant on the ground. ;-)

I concur with Amelia, the neck and feet look funny in flight;-) You caught them perfectly.
Egrets are rarely seen where I live but we have lots of herons and anglers aren't too pleased about that.

Thanks for your comments Gudrun..........and I can see what you mean, but as I just said to Amelia, I think sometimes it's just the angle you catch them at). I'll have a look to see if I can find another shot.........I think I got several on the day.

Fantastic Little Egret in-flight capture Keith and the group is good to see, although they really have become common down south these days,
They are quite sleek when in flight, as this image shows.
