So many swans Keith! Like heaven to me :-)) Yes it needs to be seen full screen and the clarity is amazing. It's on my list, which has become very long over the past year and a half!

There are some lovely little towns along the coast all very near to each other. Glad you like this one Rosa.

Your list sounds like mine..............

I have never seen a swan walking on the ground, so this is a first for me. It seems the woman is carrying a baby out of the way of swan beaks. Very pretty shot, I like the slightly faded, old look. .

Glad you like it Diane...............this is a regular occurrence here, especially at low tide. The swans are used to the people but I think dogs and children frighten them. The woman was probably wise to hold on to the child.

That's one reason Fred.............the locals and visitors like to feed the swans. Glad you like it.

Terrific image of this peaceful harbour, I never think of swans as sea birds but apparently they can drink salt water and have a gland within the body that separates out the salt content.

I love the English houses in the background. I expect that they are quite old. Quite different to houses here. The swans are so gorgeous. Do the people feed them?

Keith Burton club has replied to Eunice Perkins club
Thanks Eunice. Emsworth has been around since Saxon times and most of the houses in the main part of the town around the harbour are very old. All the newer houses are on the outskirts which seem to be expanding outwards every year. The swans often gather in the harbour and yes, I think the locals feed them - as do the visitors.

If only the the boats could swim around like the swans..they look very sad next to them :)

Keith Burton club has replied to Tanja - Loughcrew club
The boats will look much better when the tide comes in Tanja...........and most of the swans will disappear until the next low tide.
