It looks beautifully creepy Keith! Just shows it doesn't take long for nature to take over!
Love it!

Double grid and a third woody. Proof that when man ceases his activity, nature invades everything. An aesthetically beautiful image Keith

amazing plant/vine. i wonder at the story of the place and the vine that has witnessed it all (i mean, how many years does it take for something like that to happen? it feels ancient.)

seen and enjoyed in 'plants vs structures' - thanks for adding to my group.

The Rose garden occupies the space that used to be called Lump Fort (built in the 17th centur as part of Portsmouth's sea defences). Only the walls and a few rooms remain.

Glad you like it Laura.

Schöne Lost-Places-Atmosphäre! Das Haus muss schon länger ungenutzt sein. Der Efeu umarmt das Fenster schon einige Jahre.
Ein toller Fund, Keith!

Thanks Wilhelm...............the walls and a couple of rooms are all that remain of a fort which was originally built in the 17th Century. So they've been there quite a while..............
