Thanks Jaap...............there are a couple of these that visit regularly and eat nearly all the seed in one sitting.

A great portrait. They have such lovely soft colours. Quite a contrast with the beady eye.

Ha ha, he looks very cheeky! You've caught a great look at just the right time!
I hope you are enjoying the lovely Easter weather. The bird's in my garden certainly are...they've been singing and twittering all day :))

They are garden regulars Rosa.............nearly always two of them and sometimes 3 and they are very comical and fight over the seeds we put out..!! Glad you like it.

Ha, ha you could be right Wilhelm.................but in reality it's waiting for me to leave it alone so it can get at the seed I put down :-))

Enjoy the rest of the Easter Weekend.

This capture could not be more optimal in terms of light, color and pose. Nature is reclaiming its space in these times of confinement. In Galapagar the streets have been taken by wild boars and I even seemed to see someone of them flip the bird at me. Care yourself my friend.

Thanks for your generous comments Anton. Glad you like it :-)

I'm not expecting to see any wild boars in this country..................

Jean Paul

Thanks for commenting Jean Paul. These are very common in the UK and can be found nearly all year round. I think they're really beautiful and I'm happy to have them visiting my garden - even if they're very greedy and will eat all the seed if they can :-)

Best wishes. Stay safe and well.

Well caught! I prefer those to the town pigeons we have here (and some idiots still feed them!).

Thanks Gudrun. It's normally pretty easy to get a shot of these they're so fat it takes them ages to take off :-))
