A lovely image.
Hey, thanks for your latest gushing review on my last presentation...my ears are glowing! :D *hugs*
Also, thanks too, for the idea of getting a mini-tripod. GREAT IDEA! I took a look at the one you suggested and it's really quite nice. However, that Manfroto is only meant to hold about 2.2 pounds, whereas my camera and macro lens are 3.3 pounds...with more reading, folks consider it to be too lightweight for a combo DSLR+lens with length (as you mentioned). It can be a heavier deal than 2.2 pounds but only if it's a short lens. Though the 100mm 2.8L isn't TERRIBLY long, it isn't short at all and it's not a feather. That being said, I did some more looking around and found a more robust mini tripod which would certainly do the job: www.amazon.com/Pedco-UltraPod-Lightweight-Camera-Tripod/dp/B000ANCPNM/ref=as_li_ss_tl?tag=mini-tripod-20&crid=27QLZX46XV8IY&keywords=pedco+ultrapod+ii&qid=1558587618&s=gateway&sprefix=pedco%2caps%2c917&sr=8-1&linkId=f545996b9614b5b635e6981c91ca4e6b
It's got one leg longer than the others and also has a 6lb capacity. So I think I may just pick one up, and thanks for the idea...it WOULD be nice to have the option when I need it! :)
Nice work Keith.
I'd love to have this in my group 'naturey crap - crappy nature' (name explained on group page) - if you want.
