Pompey Against Plastic Trash (2)
A close up shot of the Treadgold Fish - featured yesterday - showing just some of the plastic waste inside it.
This fish-shaped sculpture by Pete Codling,(based on Portsmouth's star and crescent motif), is known as the Treadgold Fish and has been made from scrap metal from Treadgold's, a scrap metal merchants in Portsea. It is travelling round the city collecting plastic bottles as part of the War on Plastic. I think it's amazing. As of yesterday it was situated on Southsea Common.
Please view large, on black. Thank you.

Have a good new week Keith.
I get a monthly magazine sent to me and the protective envelope is now made from potato starch, so it's biodegradable............but, when it arrives it's always stuffed with half a dozen advertising leaflets and other rubbish.........more waste to be recycled..!!
