A very pleasing shot Keith. With the shadows they look like stick insects in formation! I love the colours of the old brick wall. A very good way to grow fruit!

I believe that if the trees are trained at an angle, you can squeeze more fruit out of them in less space. There are various shapes all round the walls of the garden, but it was the light on the brickwork that attracted me to this one. Thanks for your kind comments Wilhelm.

Fascinating photo, Keith, it's so alive! Hard to imagine doing this kind of intense gardening. I was a much lazier one!

Thanks Diane..............I'm with you on the lazy gardening...........although I like sitting in the garden in the summer with a good book and a beer........I wish I could afford a gardener!

West Dean Gardens has a whole host of gardeners..........all year round. They look after the place beautifully :-)

I like the nearly abstract look and the colourful brick wall! My grandfather had a pear tree like this....

Thank you very much Gudrun. They have lots of fruit trees trained into different shapes, on the wall and free standing. The ones on the wall are the easiest to photograph! Glad you like it.
