Great to see the early flowers Keith. Lots of daffodils around this area but I don't think they will fare to well if we get the predicted snow! A really beautiful picture, very well taken.

Glad you like the shot Rosa. We have some daffs poking up out of the soil in my garden, but as you say, with frost and snow now predicted I don't know how they'll fare.

Excellently taken! Sadly, gorse is a major problem over here. It is so invasive and will take over whole farm areas if not rooted out. Doesn't stop me admiring its beauty though.

Glad you like it Eunice..........and thank you.

it can become a problem if the area is not managed properly...........in the New Forest, where this was taken most management is left to grazing animals. There are Ponys, Donkeys andCattle grazing freely all over the forest and even Pigs at certain times of the year. They also have controlled burning each year to clear overgrowing areas.

Gorse is interesting - it appears to flower most months given the chance (i.e. not buried under snow)

This was growing yards from the sea...........in a very windy position...........and seemed to be thriving!

Während andere Pflanzen noch auf den Winter warten, startet der Ginster schon durch. Eine schöne Aufnahme aus dem Prefrühling.
