Not me, I don't like them and I certainly dislike satnav. I love my maps in book or folded form and trust them so much more than the modern alternatives!
The Ordnance Survey maps are unsurpassed in my view; I have been using Spanish maps of late. Not a patch on the good old O.S.!!
By the way, you have illustrated two of my mum's great loves. She was a very decent county standard tennis player and the same later with bowls. Gardening, painting and cooking also figure prominently as well!
So, for many reasons I really like your shot!
Have a good week!

Signs to pleasant destinations. Just what I like. Agree with Judith and Andy about maps especially OS ones. I have paper ones and ones on my tablet. Sat nav ? My cars too old and I can't stand being told what to do besides having trouble with left and right.

Thanks folks...................good of you all to drop in and comment.

Personally, I use a sat-nav in the car if I need to, but when out walking (or when I used to go mountain-biking) I use O/S maps and a compass.

this looks like a still from an Agatha Christie or Midsomer Murders!

It does a bit..........well spotted. I don't think Midhurst is such a dangerous place to live as Midsomer though..!!

Haha - a unique and charming photo! But, I'm a little confused about how to get to the vicarage. It's just not clear...but then, neither is GMaps, sometimes.

The sign is a little worn, but I think it's in the same direction as the other two places ;-)
