I was watching this little hummingbird drinking sap from our birch tree yesterday, all the while thinking "hummingbird don't fly away, fly away."

I think it is an Anna's hummingbird but it was hard to tell its coloring from below. It might also be a Rufous hummingbird Maybe you can decide. :)

Such a complimentary out-of-focus background. A beautifully detailed shot of the hummingbird and a perfect musical match by Seals & Croft. I did have some of their music and possibly the "Summer Breeze" album. I'm sure it was in the days when my mate used to introduce me to new music and I would copy the music onto tapes via one of those reel to reel tape recorder thingies :-) I think I will be checking out Amazon/iTunes :-) Also, a crackin' hummingbird album....marvellous photos. Thanks very much for posting to 'Sight and Sound', Karen.
