Wayne Benson
Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out will be playing at this year's Charlotte (MI) Bluegrass Festival on Friday, June 22.
Wayne Benson's been a member of IIIrd Tyme Out for most of its existence--and 3TO's played at the Charlotte festival most summers since the band was formed. That's lead singer/guitarist Russell Moore beyond Wayne, and Steve Dilling--now with Sideline, as we've seen--beyond Russell.
I've seen these guys a lot. There's no band I like better.

Love the photos ... if you come to NC, we have great bluegrass all over ~
Joel Dinda club has replied to Peggy C clubThat said, Michigan's a bluegrass hotbed, too. We blame Henry Ford: The Stanley Brothers, the Osborne Brothers, and Jimmy Martin all worked for the automakers for a time and left their mark. I manage to attend three festivals every year, and could easily triple that if I wanted to seriously annoy Joan, who's not a bluegrass fan.
If we make it to NC it will be for the scenery, not the music.
Peggy C club has replied to Joel Dinda clubBlue Ridge Mtns would be a must .. my husband took some photos [they are in an album -RLC photos] I think that is the label... if not, will let you know.
