Sight and Sound This is a tribute to one of my favorite female vocalists. I just found out she died last spring when I was looking for one of her songs. She wasn't well known. She described herself as a "delicate" person and preferred to sing back-up for artists like James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstadt rather than be in the spotlight. She did manage to put out a few excellent albums from the 1970s on and they are worth having. Thank you, Valerie Carter, for sharing your wonderful talent with us. I won't forget you. This Sunday's Challenge: "The Writing's on the Wall" One form could be "graffiti" and this is the graffiti I chose. "Graffiti (plural of graffito: "a graffito", but "these graffiti") are writing or drawings that have been scribbled, scratched, or painted illicitly on a wall or other surface, often within public view." This is one of the many tattoos on my husband's arms (given the "mirror" treatment in PicMonkey and a "Dutch Tilt") and done "illicitly" when he was much younger. His very dear (yet religious and domineering) mother wouldn't see them until many years later... Just by chance I happened to plant some "Tullamore" tulips this year and they have some dew on them so I thought, wouldn't it be nice to add Dan Fogelberg's "Tullamore Dew" to this photo? I think so.
