The Dreaming Fields, HFF

An area known as The Meads, A 42 acre flood plain that divides the western area of town, In summer it's a haven for wildlife, dog walkers, children and courting couples it is now protected as an Eco park.

Since uploading this image the area has almost completely flooded due to the heavy rain of the past few days and the run off from the surrounding hills

Thank you Rosa, it floods every winter but it saves the town so it fulfills it's purpose, The snow soaked the high ground and recent rain has just run off, a really nice and well used area in summer

Thank you Peter, a number of brooks run along the plain and they are allowed to naturally overflow, when conditions are right the water is pumped away.
