Leaning tower

The late 14th century tower of the Church of St Andrews, Burnham on Sea is a grade one listed building It is reputed that a plumb line dropped from the north side of the 78ft high tower is 3 feet from the building at the base, Image taken as the December Sun sets across Bridgwater Bay. Building the church on sand dunes is the most likely reason for the settlement.

Not that I am aware of, the lean started at the building stage because they attempted to correct it as they went so the tower has a slight curve to it, The majority of windows and doors are still true to vertical.
