Do not be frightened, but they say I'm FOLLOWING you.

Do not be frightened, but they say I'm FOLLOWING you.
Just another reason I prefer Ipernity! Here I'm not a "follower."

Below are the comments I left on this photo on Flickr. It makes me even more happy to spend time on Ipernity!

It's strange. I always fancied myself as a leader, but now I'm told I'm following people. And don't be alarmed, but it seems I'm "following" you (according to Flickr), as if I were some sort of stalker or shady character lurking in the shadows.

I've never liked being termed a "follower," as if I don't have a life of my own to live. If anything, I do like the sound of being a "follower" when it comes to my Christian beliefs. But to imply that I wander around "following" people rather insults me. If you're my contact- whether general contact, friend, or family, I treasure that relationship, but please, Flickr, don't degrade that reciprocal relationship to that of a bunch of mindless zombies, wandering around following each other. We are real people, with real families and friends, interests, and lives. We share moments of our lives with each other. We don't "FOLLOW" each other.

(And please, Flickr, get a mind of your own. Quit trying to "follow" all the other social networking sites and be yourself. That's what you do best. If I wanted to spend my time on another social website being a follower, I'd already be there. Let me call my contacts my contacts. Don't make us "followers" of each other.) PLEASE!

(but why should I think that you'd listen anyway. The changes of the last few months show me that you've got deaf ears. lol)
