Beautifully blue sky! This is almost a semi-abstract photo - without the tree, it would be, but the tree adds so much you wouldn't want to be without it in the shot.

I like the way that tree seems to be propping the frame up/ holding a window open. The tracks in the snow are a puzzler.

Very well composed John..........I love the contrast between the striking blue sky and the snow especially. The branches of the tree fill up the empty space above the snow.

Thanks, Keith. Your comment about the branches got me thinking about them. There's something about how they seem to touch the snow that seems important to me, although I have no idea what that something is. A good thing to meditate on. Photos to meditate on, there's a notion. We may be on to something.
