Thanks, Jean. This one of my favourite galleries at the V & A. There are some brilliant pieces there, ad the quality of the casts is astonishing.

Slow, sharp lens really brings out the complexity. And quite a contrast, come to think of it - Roman military and Christian. There is something compositionally correct about the shot, too - possibly the column in the foreground and the series of columns in the background? Or just the figures, figures, figures, both close and far?

It's the figures, figures, figures that impress me, Bob.
