In my next life, I may be a window cleaner (though probably not.)

We have a Swiss form of window cleaning in Toronto, Sarah, so you might want to consider it for your next life. I gather from photographs I have posted of window cleaners in Toronto that in some other cities the window cleaners never rappel down the face of the building instead of using a platform. If they work in twos or threes here they race (which suggests they get paid by the job rather than the hour). Over 25 storeys or so, though, platforms seem preferred. I guess there's a limit to the length of rope you can fit into your truck.

Among other benefits you would save on gym subscriptions.

Indeed I've never seen window cleaners rappel down the face of buildings in California, though I've seen other interesting window cleaner behavior. As for doing it in my next life, only if I'm reincarnated sans acrophobia. Perhaps I could be a seagull, they seldom suffer from acrophobia (throwing this in because it was the best first line of a poem I ever wrote. So far.)
Then I could do the opposite of window cleaning ...

You could deal with your acrophobia as this fenestralavator is -- by not looking down:

Excellent view of a poorly considered job against the great first plan of the severe looking lady.

Thanks, Jose. You'd think they'd have mastered building these glass boxes by now, because they're filling the city with them.

Love the severe looking woman. Could be me I fear. I have to round with a smile plastered on my face otherwise I get "Cheer up. It may never happen". High window cleaning is not for me although they must see some interesting bits of life.

I thought she looked determined and competent, Jean. She ain't fooling around. She's about to get something done.

The complete opposite of me, in fact.
