That Peggy!

That Peggy!
Submitted to the Vintage Photos Theme Park free-for-all in the Friends category (May 2013).

========

I don't know who these people are. This was bought at a collectibles market.

After further review I've concluded that the blue tinge is not due to processing for the site but to my not being careful enough. Anyway, I ain't fixing it now.

Alan Mays, Smiley Derleth, Denis Croissant and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Thanks, Keith. There are some nice period details, too -- the racy picture over the fire, the ping-pong paddles, the projector. It's like a trip into the past. No double-breasted suits, so I'm guessing mid-50s to early 60s.

I hadn't noticed the ping-pong paddles..........but I did see at least 3 clocks on the mantelpiece, how odd..!!

Thanks, Keith. I had noticed there were a few clocks there, but hadn't thought about how odd it is to have three there till you mentioned it. Perhaps it has something to do with the inaccuracy of clockwork, but I wouldn't bet on it. The clock in the middle is another period piece; clocks of that type decorated mantels everywhere.

Wonder if it had a Westminster chime.

As I recall most of those clocks didn't chime, Jean. If it did, it's hard to get away from the Westminster one.

Yes, where did all the Maureens get to? The favourite names for girls in Canada are now Olivia, Emma, and Charlotte. Very prim. Maureen has panache.

I know, it's funny how certain names from yore have fallen completely out of fashion.
