either an underground station or a train station..it doesn't matter, basically
Nowadays, .Both are usually symbol of chaos , hurrying crowds, buzzlying atmosphere, mostly indifference for the other,or , even diffidence.. Be cautious!!Watch out!!:-)
BUT..here, caught from a magically curved point of view, there's , at last!, silence and loneliness and you let me watch and breathe it while sitting on a bench..

Opposite view, Bea: for most of users of public transport this daily anonymous bubbling has become a drug (as you surely know); and this abnormal loneliness a kind of quarantine which IS synonymous with anxiety and insecurity... This sheep gregariousness has become a second nature - if it did not take the first place yet! ;-)
Take a big breathe, then come and visit the French capital again : it's expecting your coming !

L'isolement est volontaire alors que la solitude est subie!!!!
Ici, cette femme assise seule dans cette gare est le symbole des deux!
A Paris je ne pensais pas que l'on pouvait,sur les quais d'une station, être aussi seul.....

Très beau serpent de rails en perspective! Une prise de vue très intéressante voulue,bien évidemment! J'aime le contraste entre la géométrie rigoureuse et sombre de la voie, et l'éclairage des quais au néon....

Un bon week-end en vue mon cher ami!

L'on peut se convaincre d'avoir choisi l'isolement alors que cela ne cache qu'une grande solitude !
Hé oui, sur les quais de Paris l'isolement est aussi possible, pour les couche-tard ou les lève-tôt en particulier :-) Et on peut chercher à en jouir pour provisoirement fuir le fourmillement quotidien ; prendre le pouls et la mesure d'un quai de gare habituellement grouillant et qu'on ne fait qu'entrevoir et parcourir la tête occupé par trop de contingences....
