Since I'm not currently able to travel, at least I can post some previously not posted photos that fit my yearn for the open road!

This is from along Jungo road, a graded gravel road that runs west from Winnemucca towards Gerlach, Nevada. Looking east from a point where Jungo road crosses the UP tracks on the west end of a large playa. From what I could tell, this seemed to be close to a site that was the former location of the town of Jungo.

It seems a lot of people are currently unable to travel for one reason or another. We got in our little New Years trip, but we're stuck now, too, at least for a little while.

This make me want to go wander Nevada for a while, though. I ate at a Subway in Winnemucca in 2007. That's the extent of my exposure to this region. My only off-interstate jaunt through northern Nevada is on the south side of 80.
