On the bikeway in a narrow part in Cathedral City that runs between the back lots of auto dealerships and the fenced (and burned) edges of a golf course.

Were this a photo of a Chicago path, the question would be how safe people feel riding through here, as it seems very isolated and enclosed. There are a few sites you've posted that seem like they might be off-putting to certain riders, but this may not be an issue in Palm Springs.

Admittedly its mostly males that I see on these more industrial feeling sections, but Palm Springs generally feels safe during the day. This particular area has the back portions of car dealerships on one side, so there's a fair amount of foot traffic nearby during the day.
