Palm Springs Tahquitz Creek Loop Bikeway (4554)

Palm Springs Tahquitz Creek Loop Bikeway (4554)
Another one of the areas where the Tahquitz Creek Loop bike route seems to be entering private grounds (it is). There are 'no trespassing' signs everywhere in this section, but also signs for the bike route. It's initially confusing, until you realize that you're on a public easement on the bike route, but shouldn't get off and enter the golf course or the condo grounds.

Part of an effort to provide some visual documentation of the extensive bikeways in Palm Springs. See the Palm Springs Bikeways album to see photos in geographical (not time) order.

I can just imagine the NIMBY-like fights this must have aroused.

I would have thought that too. I don't know the history of the bike paths here, but it does help probably that many of the condos are fully-occupied for only the height of the 'season' (about Nov - April). Most times I rode by over the past 2-3 months, there were very few units with year-round residents.
