Ensign (City Sightseeing) 205 (GVV 205 ex BYX 255V) in Stratford-upon-Avon – 27 Jan 2005 (540-2A)

Thursday 27 January 2005 – Not many takers for an open top bus tour around Stratford-on-Avon and its environs on a damp and dismal January day!!

Ensignbus (City Sightseeing) 205 (GVV 205) was an MCW Metrobus which I believe had been new as a standard covered top bus to London Transport in May 1980 as their M255 (BYX 255V).

Note the Guide Friday posters. Guide Friday, a major competitor to City Sightseeing in a number of locations, had been acquired by Ensign around 2002.

(The registration number GVV 205 originated on Northampton Corporation 205, a Roe bodied Daimler CVG6 new in October 1957)
