Peter Sheffield (Stagecoach) 177 (OJL 822Y ex SSG 321Y) at Showbus, Duxford – 21 Sep 1997 (371-06)
Sunday 21 September 1997 - Peter Sheffield Coaches of Cleethorpes became part of Stagecoach East Midlands.

Duple Dominant III bodied Leyland Leopard 177 (OJL 822Y) was on display at Showbus, Duxford and had the Peter Sheffield name within the Stagecoach fleet name plus a window label 'On hire to Stagecoach East Midand'. It had been new to Rennie’s of Dunfermline in January 1983 registered SSG 321Y.

('Stagecoach East Midlands' ending in 's' was the Stagecoach regional name whereas 'Stagecoach East Midland' without the final 's' was the subsidiary operator name).

Should the destination board read "Workshop 3"?

I am not sure why the number '3' appears on the destination blind of this coach George but the name relates to the unusually named Nottinghamshire town of Worksop. That name possibly derives from an Anglo-Saxon settlement.
