Prospect Coaches (Megabus contractor) PR73 KNG at Fiveways, Barton Mills - 7 Jan 2024 (P1170221)

Sunday 7 January 2024 (1043) - Prospect Coaches of Lye near Stourbridge PR73 KNG seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills when working the 0815 Megabus service M37 from Birmingham to Norwich. Having called at Cambridge at 1000 it was due to arrive at UEA (University of East Anglia) at 1130 and Norwich Bus Station at 1145.

It is a Higer bodied Scania Touring K410 which was new in October 2023 that wears full Megabus livery. Many of the coaches working for Megabus carry a name, sometimes humorous sometimes not, sometimes travel related sometimes not. This coach carries the name ‘King Toot-ankhamun’.

(After taking a break in Norwich the coach would work the 1300 service M37 back to Birmingham which, on paper and also as shown on the destination display, is advertised as working through to Bristol and Cardiff. However, since this same coach worked the 0815 Birmingham-Norwich service again the next day, it must have only worked as far as Birmingham today with a different coach covering the Birmingham-Cardiff section).
