DSCF1417 Stagecoach Midlands 15940 (YN63 BYG) and Centrebus 555 (SN55 DVC) in Wellingborough - 21 Apr 2018

Saturday 21 April 2018 (1256) – London Road, Wellingborough seen from the rear upper deck window of preserved former Northampton Corporation Transport 154 (ANH 154).

Left is Stagecoach Midlands 15940 (YN63 BYG), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Scania N230UD new in October 2013, working the 1150 service X47 from Raunds to Northampton.

Right is Centrebus 555 (SN55 DVC), an Alexander Dennis Pointer Dart that had been new to Lutonian of Luton in October 2005, working service W8. This service has alternate workings some to Bozeat (taking 19 minutes) and some beyond Bozeat to Northampton (taking 63 minutes via a number of rural villages). The timetable shows that the 1247 service from Church Street, Wellingborough runs to Northampton although the destination screen displayed by this bus seemed static showing Bozeat.
