Victoria Coach Station, London - 25 Sep 1974

Victoria Coach Station, London - 25 Sep 1974
Wednesday 25 September 1974 – Victoria Coach Station, London. Unmistakable are the green Southdown coaches and the Standerwick Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VRLL double decker. In the background are different styles of vehicles sporting the National Bus Company/National Travel corporate white coach livery. It was around this time that the ‘National Express’ name was introduced although the coaches in the photograph just carry the ‘National’ name that was initially used for the coach network from 1972.

A 2017 photo taken from roughly the same spot makes an interesting comparison with this photo: See www.ipernity.com/doc/davidslater-spoddendale/44455514
