Sam's of Skegness KIB 6845 in Red Lodge - Aug 1990

Sam's of Skegness KIB 6845 in Red Lodge - Aug 1990
A Saturday in August 1990 – Sam’s of Skegness KIB 6845, a circa 1980 Duple Dominant, seen rolling through Red Lodge, Suffolk when duplicating the 0930 London to Great Yarmouth National Express service 599. Service 599 was a ‘Rapide’ class service with the regular vehicles featuring toilet facilities and steward/ess service. I suspect this duplicate was to cater for coastal holidaymakers and would soon be making a mid-way toilet and refreshment stop. Sam’s was taken over by Brylaine Travel around the time of this photograph.
