Cambridge Coach Services E361 NEG at Gatwick - 9 Dec 1990

Sunday 9 December 1990 - Cambridge Coach Services 361 (E361 NEG), a Volvo B10M with Plaxton Paramount body new to Premier Travel in 1988, seen at Gatwick Airport having worked the 0645 hrs service from Cambridge. Note the window mounted lettering promoting the Airport service. Not much snow hereabouts but further up the route it had been worse and was to be a difficult day for CCS. The M11 had been blocked and Van Hool 345 had suffered superficial body damage in a slide. More serious was the damage of two CCS Van Hool coaches earlier in the day when one slid into the back of another resulting in an estimated £1500 bill for the huge one piece windscreen and front panelling.
