Banc en attendant le printemps Bank wartet auf Frühling

La photo date de lundi dernier, entretemps les fleurs se sont ouvertes, mais aujourd'hui nous n'avons pas ce ciel bleu pétant ! "WELCOME MAGNOLIAS". The photo is from last Monday, in the meantime the flowers have opened, but today we don't have that bright blue sky! "WILLKOMMEN MAGNOLIEN". Das Foto stammt vom letzten Montag, inzwischen haben sich die Blüten geöffnet, aber heute haben wir nicht diesen knallblauen Himmel !

It's quite amazing in the middle of the countryside between old stone houses with slate roofs, but it's out of the ordinary and I like it very much. However - how the owner got planning permission is a mystery to me! Quelqu'un est passionné ici par l'architecture chinoise... C'est assez étonnant en pleine campagne, au milieu des vieilles maisons en pierre aux toits d'ardoise, mais ça sort de l'ordinaire et ça me plaît bien. Mais comment le propriétaire a pu obtenir un permis de construire, c'est un mystère pour moi ! Da hat jemand eine Leidenschaft für chinesische Architektur. Es ist recht erstaunlich mittem auf dem Land zwischen Steinhäusern mit Schieferdächern, aber es fällt aus dem Rahmen, und es gefällt mir. Allerdings - wie der Besitzer eine Baugenehmigung erhalten hat, das ist mir ein Rätsel !

Deux grosses pierres dans le lac, autour duquel nous nous sommes baladés par ce temps ensoleillé. TURTLE BACKS? Two huge stones in the lake, around which we took a walk on this sunny day. SCHILDKRÖTENRÜCKEN ? Zwei Riesensteine im See, um den wir bei dem sonnigen Wetter einen Spaziergang machten.

Thanks to the bamboo, the area looks already quite green. BANC DU SAMEDI POUR LUNDI. Grâce au bambou, l'endroit était déjà bien vert. SAMSTAGS-BANK FÜR MONTAG. Dank des Bambus sah es schon recht grün aus.

Au XVe siècle une statuette de la Vierge Marie était placée dans un chêne, au milieu d'une prairie. Une légende rapporte que le seigneur du lieu provoque un taureau dans cette prairie. Poursuivi, il invoque la protection de la Sainte Vierge, en promettant de se convertir et de construire une chapelle sur le lieu même s'il s'en sort. Le taureau lui ayant laissé la vie sauve, il accomplit sa promesse. La première petite chapelle est construite autour du chêne, elle a été remplacée au XIXe siècle par cette chapelle plus grande, ayant devenu un lieu de pèlerinage très fréquenté. Le chêne, desséché, s'y dresse encore et est protégé par une grille (PiP). OAK'S CHAPEL, PLACE OF PILGRIMAGE. In the 15th century, a statuette of the Virgin Mary was placed in an oak tree in the middle of a meadow. Legend has it that the local lord provoked a bull in the meadow. Pursued, he invoked the protection of the Blessed Virgin, promising to convert and build a chapel on the spot if he got away with it. As the bull let him live, he fulfilled his promise. The first small chapel was built around the oak tree, and was replaced in the 19th century by this larger chapel, which had become a popular place of pilgrimage. The oak, now dried out, still stands here and is protected by a gate (PiP). WALLFAHRTSORT EICHENKAPELLE. Im 15. Jh. befand sich eine Statuette der Jungfrau Maria in einer Eiche mitten auf einer Wiese. Eine Legende berichtet, dass der Ortsherr auf dieser Wiese einen Stier herausforderte. Als er verfolgt wurde, rief er den Schutz der Heiligen Jungfrau an und versprach, sich zu bekehren und an diesem Ort eine Kapelle zu errichten, falls er entkommen würde. Da der Stier ihn am Leben liess, erfüllte er sein Versprechen. Die erste kleine Kapelle wurde um die Eiche herum gebaut. Sie wurde im 19. Jh. durch diese grössere Kapelle ersetzt, da sie zu einem beliebten Pilgerort geworden war. Die vertrocknete Eiche steht noch immer dort und ist durch ein Gitter geschützt (PiP).

Across the arcades of the chapel I'm talking about here , you can see the pond on a mild winter day. DURCH DIE ARKADEN der Kapelle, die ich hier erwähne , kann man den Weiher im milden Winterlicht sehen.

The bailif was an officer representing the king's authority, responsible for enforcing justice and controlling the administration on his behalf. They were the equivalent of the current prefects. LE MANOIR DU BAILLY (16ème siècle). Le bailli était un officier représentant de l'autorité du roi, chargé de faire appliquer la justice et de contrôler l'administration en son nom. Il s'agissait de l'équivalent des actuels préfets. DAS HERRENHAUS "DU BAILLY" (16. Jh.). Der Landvogt war ein Amtmann, der die Autorität des Königs vertrat, in seinem Namen die Justiz durchsetzte und die Verwaltung kontrollierte. Er war das Äquivalent zu den heutigen Präfekten.

A gauche (voir 1er PiP) le clocher de l’église primitive dont seule cette tour subsiste. Erigée en 1083, elle s’élevait dans l’enceinte d'une forteresse construite par Guillaume le Conquérant. Eglise et forteresse n'existent plus, à leur place fut construite au XIXe siècle la nouvelle église paroissiale Saint Hilaire de style néogothique (2ème PiP). OLD AND (ALMOST) NEW. On the left (see 1st PiP) is the bell tower of the original church, of which only this tower remains. Erected in 1083, it stood within the walls of a fortress built by William the Conqueror. Church and fortress no longer exist, and the new neo-Gothic parish church of Saint Hilaire was built in their place in the 19th century (2nd PiP). ALT UND (FAST) NEU. Links der Glockenturm (siehe 1. PiP) der ursprünglichen Kirche, von der nur noch dieser Turm übrig ist. 1083 errichtet, befand sie sich innerhalb einer von Wilhelm dem Eroberer erbauten Festung. Kirche und Festung gibt es nicht mehr, an ihrer Stelle wurde im 19. Jh. die neue Pfarrkirche Saint Hilaire im neogotischen Stil errichtet (2. PiP).
