C'est le portail d'entrée de l'une des dernières fonderies de cloches en France . Héritière d'une tradition qui remonte à la fin du Moyen Âge, elle propose une visite guidée de son atelier historique datant de 1865 et initie à l'art de la fonte des cloches. En 2013, la fonderie a fabriqué 8 nouvelles cloches pour la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Elles ont été suspendues dans la tour nord, la plus grande cloche, baptisée "Gabriel", pèse 4 tonnes. Strolling along the narrow streets and cobbled lanes of Villedieu-les-Poêles ("Copper Town" in Normandy), you can see the workshop courtyards that once served as workplaces and living quarters for coppersmiths. Wenn man in Villedieu-les-Poêles ("Kupferstadt" in der Normandie) durch die engen Gassen und kleinen gepflasterten Strassen schlendert, kann man die Werkstatthöfe sehen, die früher den Kupferschmieden als Arbeits- und Wohnstätte dienten. Bei dem PiP habe ich eine Fotobearbeitung ausprobiert, die es meiner Meinung nach noch älter macht.

Salt meadows are the upper part of the tidal zone and develop at the end of the Bay of Mont Saint Michel, where fine sediments are deposited, protected from waves and strong currents. The plants that colonise this area are adapted to the presence of salt water. Sheep and lambs graze in these meadows where the soil is salty due to the high concentration of minerals caused by the tides, giving the meat its distinctive taste. PRAIRIES SPECIALES POUR MOUTONS ET AGNEAUX. Les prés salés sont la partie supérieure de la zone de balancement des marées. Ils se développent dans le fond de la baie du Mont Saint Michel, là où une sédimentation fine se produit, à l’abri des houles et des forts courants. Les plantes qui occupent cet espace sont adaptées à la présence d’eau salée. Les moutons et les agneaux paissent dans ces prés où le sol est salé en raison de la forte concentration de minéraux à cause des marées, ce qui donne à la viande son goût particulier. C'est un des plus grands arbres mimosas que je connaisse dans la région. The scent of these mimosas wafts along the whole street. One of the biggest mimosa trees I know in this area. Diese Mimosen duften die ganze Strasse entlang. Einer der grössten Mimosen-Bäume, die ich in dieser Gegend kenne.
