J'aime bien cette expression (la même dans plusieurs langues) : tromper l'oeil ! Une peinture murale (ou fresque) qui donne à distance l'illusion de la réalité.

TROMPE-L'OEIL. I like this expression (the same in several languages): deceive the eye! A mural (or fresco) that gives the illusion of reality from a distance.

Gut zu wissen. Dann muss ich doch mal öfters nach Bayern reisen, um solche fotos zu machen. In BA-WÜ sieht man diese bemalungen sehr selten, aber falls ich doch mal wider erwarten eins entdeckten sollte, dann fotografiere ich es und zeige es hier :-))

I remember somebody in England painted a full size picture of the front of a Rolls Royce on his garage door... For some reason he was told to get rid of it.
