Thanks very much for the visit and kind words Rosa. Yes they are on our garage roof. The pheasant, and about 15 of his pals, live in the field behind our house. It is not uncommon to see one or two on the garage roof looking for their share of the bird food we put out when the weather is bad.

Oh that has made me smile Doug. A couple in the front line seem to be in a bit of a flap! Great shot and the pheasant has beautiful colours, - he looks a bit like his cousin - the famous one from the tv adverts for whisky!

That is true most of the time for sure Christien but a few days ago I saw a dove lying in the field near where this photo was taken. He/she was very wet (from heavy wet snow overnight) very weak and being attacked by crows. I managed to scare the crows away and took the bird into the house to warn up and dry-off for a while. I'm happy to say the dove flew up onto the garage roof, had a feed and flew off a few hours later looking much better.
