Kleine Schneeflöckchen auf abgestorbenen Laubholzstämmen - Small snowflakes on dead hardwood trunks

Of course, these are not snowflakes, but small white mushrooms that you occasionally see on tree trunks. It is the split-gill mushroom (Schizophyllum commune), which occurs frequently worldwide and usually lives on dead trunks of deciduous trees. In Europe, the mushroom is considered inedible, but in other parts of the world it is an edible mushroom. It is used as a medicinal mushroom in traditional Chinese medicine. Inhaling the spores can lead to serious illnesses in some people. Much more information in the above-mentioned German Internet article.
