Kohlmeise im Wald auf Nahrungssuche - Great tit foraging in a forest
It is much more difficult to photograph birds in the wild than at a bird feeder, as the flight distance is usually very large. The picture shows a great tit in a mixed oak forest, which is looking for food. With the relatively high temperatures, it still has enough chances to find insects on this rotten tree stump. As you can see, because of the long flight distance, a 210 telephoto lens is just about enough to get a satisfactory picture. Nevertheless, I was pleased with the picture because it has a nice backlit bokeh.

Safe and healthy week ahead.
Happy new week:)
Oh, how I share the frustration of animal photography out on the trail! I got my 30x zoom Sony for just this reason and it's helped so much. Though it's not perfect, of course. I have a better chance at a good view of the animal I've seen. You got a really nice shot here with back lighting to show off it's fluffy body. I envy you--how nice it must be to see those birds! They're magnificent!
And you were able even to catch this cute little inhabitant!!
Freundliche Grüße und einen guten Abend
Erich
