Good Morning Bonaire
port of Kralendijk - Bonaire
Bonaire is the most eastern island of the ABC-islands, about 80 km north of Venezuela. The area is 294 km², the population is around 20000, the language is Dutch and Papiamento. It's a "Overseas Region" of the Netherlands.
Bonaire's earliest known inhabitants were the Arkaiko Indians, whose presence on Bonaire can be traced back to 2500 before the Common Era. Caquetio came later from Venezuela by canoe. Caquetio culture was destroyed by Europeans in the 15th and 16th century.
