That's exactly what I saw in this white marble statue: the ghost of an ancient wrestler tired up of supporting that pose for so many years and moreover in a cage !!!

La premessa è che ho cercato immagini del luogo e delle statue, per rendermi bene conto dello stato originale dei luoghi (dico questo per non fare il saputello …)
La mia personale impressione è che hai cambiato le carte in tavola (tanto per cambiare) ma questa non è una critica, semmai un elogio alla Tua creatività e fantasia.
Prima cosa, il Tuo editing ha privato la scultura della sua peculiarità, cioè la massa muscolare, l'atto dello sforzo fisico nel combattimento. Invece, hai dato molto risalto alle cancellate davanti e dietro la scultura, immergendole in una atmosfera azzurrina. Il risultato finale è una sorta di prigione onirica, nella quale i lottatori sembrano essere rinchiusi come anime perdute, come fantasmi.
Insomma, ancora un lavoro ben riuscito in cui simbolismo ed oniricità prevalgono e rovesciano la realtà. Questo luogo di Roma ti ha ispirato già altre volte, ma con Te perde i connotati originari, oserei dire storici, per assurgere ad un labirinto di figure e di linee degno della migliore narrazione metafisica.

Leggo questo tuo commento come secondo rispetto ai Tavoli in Rosso .-)
Sai , ho anch'io foto originali scattate allo Stadio dei Marmi in quella giornata e volevo inserirne una PIP (!! :-) in questa ..ma non ne sono stata capace ,LOL! Dovrò prendere ripetizioni.Anzi, perché non da te ??!! Sto parlando sul serio, purtroppo per te ;-)
.Avrei potuto fare un collage, tentativo che mi era riuscito, ma non mi è piaciuto affatto.
Due di seguito mi sembravano una ripetizione senza senso.
Quindi, hai fatto quello che faccio sempre davanti ad immagini di particolari e dettagli di luoghi che non conosco bene o affatto e lo dichiaro come te !!
Il fatto è che questo è un lottatore sul poggio immediatamente antistante allo stadio vero e proprio.E, sinceramente, mi è apparso così sofferente nello sforzo quasi come un Prometeo incatenato; per cui l'idea istantanea è stato quella sì d'ingabbiarlo come una reminiscenza di miti ormai decisamente evanescenti.
e così ho fatto in fase di editing, ammetto con notevole fatica ma cocciutamente impegnata a conseguire la mia idea di astrarmi dalla realtà contingente, pur usandone gli elementi e cercare di rappresentarne una mia personale, per quanto balzana :-), anche se chiaramente mai soddisfatta, nemmeno in questo ultimo 'prodotto'
Tu, al solito, hai immediatamente intuito e sentito cosa avessi io in mente: e per me è una sempre rinnovata meravigliosa scoperta e sensazione leggere i tuoi commenti.

Purtroppo non mi riesce nemmeno a me il PIP, carissima Bea !
L'unico PIP che conosco erano delle caramelle per fumatori che si vendevano in farmacia quando ero ragazzo, ma non credo che c'entrino molto, LOL !!
