1962 Triumph Herald 1200 - 769 NDE

1962 Triumph Herald 1200 - 769 NDE
Came across this charming little Triumph Herald in Northallerton a few days ago and had a nice chat with the current owner. It has less than 50,000 miles on the clock, but neither of us think that's the genuine mileage given its age. It's also had a professional respray at some point over the years, but as the owner himself pointed out it's starting to go a little bit off here and there.

Still, overall this car was a beauty and a rare thing indeed given it was manufactured over 50 years ago. That said, it is actually 1 of 3 that I currently know of in the town, which is quite weird really all things considered.

The tail fins look like a Caddy-wanna be, yet it has its own style.

Yes, I guess they are reminiscent of the old Caddies Esther ... much, much smaller cars though it has to be said! ;)

As Esther said, Cadillac style fins ... interesting car, I'm more familiar with the TR3's. I do like the paint colors on this vehicle. :) As you say, it looks good for it's age. :) Nice shot.
