M.C.ESCHER Exhibition, Lisbon, 24 November 2017-27 May 2018

Regarding the ESCHER graphics it seems to me, despite his genius -and patience-, they are lacking the emotion and spark due to a true work of art. It's an art without life. His multifaceted and multiplicative work might be close to the music and mathematics, but away from the aesthetics emotion.

Parece-me que ao grafismo do ESCHER, apesar da sua genialidade -e paciência-, falta a emoção e a centelha da verdadeira obra de arte. É uma arte sem vida. O seu trabalho multifacetado e multiplicativo poderá estar perto da música e da matemática, mas distancia-se da emoção estética.
