Schopftintling

Lovely photo of these "Shaggy Manes" Coprinus comatus. They are so, so good to eat. I never had any problem eating these and drinking alcohol. The "alcohol Inky" Coprinopsis atramentaria , also know as Coprinus atramentarus a similar mushroom causes sever reactions if ate with alcohol.

Ken* so it is for me too - I drank a beer with it without having a problem. and yes - it is the 'Faltentintling' (Coprinus comatus) causes the problem with alcohol.

Coprinus syndrome is a relatively harmless fungus poisoning,
5 Symptoms
rapid heartbeat
rise in blood pressure
breakouts of sweat
circulatory disorders
flushing
the skin of the body gets a purple colour, while the face (as mentioned) turns red, only the earlobes and the tip of the nose remain white
These symptoms occur only when the mushrooms are consumed with alcohol at the same time. If you take the consumption of these mushrooms into consideration, you should not consume alcohol for safety reasons 3 days before. Without alcohol, wrinkled tintling and mica tintling are edible without hesitation. Also up to 3 days after the mushroom meal alcohol should be avoided absolutely, since it can come otherwise again and again to such symptom relapses. These usually last only a few hours and then fade away again without further therapeutic measures.
