Dies Gestein kommt bei uns vor und wird in Brannenburg noch abgebaut.
Alte Bauernhäuser hier, sind teilweise aus Nagelfluh gebaut.

Nagelfluh, [von schweizer. Fluhe = Fels], Bezeichnung für silicatisch oder carbonatisch gebundenes Konglomerat des Tertiärs oder Quartärs. Das Gestein entsteht dort, wo der im Grundwasser gelöste Anteil an Carbonat oder Kieselsäure durch Änderungen der Temperatur oder des pH- und Eh-Wertes zur Ausfällung gebracht wird. (Mineral-Lexikon)
Konglomerat (lateinisch conglomerare „zusammenballen“) bezeichnet in der Geologie ein grobkörniges, klastisches Sedimentgestein, das aus mindestens 50 % gerundeten Komponenten (Kies oder Geröll) besteht, welche durch eine feinkörnige Matrix verkittet sind. Sind die Bestandteile eckig, spricht man hingegen von einer Brekzie (oder auch Breccie). Konglomerate sind entstehungsgeschichtlich eng mit dem Sandstein verwandt und mit ihm häufig vergesellschaftet. (WiKi)
