Carl Otto Czeschka (born 1878 in Vienna, † 1960 in Hamburg) was an Austrian painter and graphic artist. He is considered one of the most important designer of the Vienna workshop. (The Vienna workshop exist during the years 1903 to 1932 and was a manufacturing community of visual artists)

Czeschka appointed in 1907as a professor in the Kunstgewerbeschule in Hamburg (today Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg = HFBK) .He worked here until 1943 and left a very extensive and diverse work. He designed, among other things, drawings, graphics, fonts, woodcuts, illustrated books, calendars, jewelry, postcards, signs, fabrics, tapestries , furniture, theater costumes and last but not least stained glass windows like this one shown here.
